GMCS School of Business students took their learning beyond the classroom at a Business Convention held at the Student Support Center, where they explored career possibilities, gained real-world insights, and connected with professionals in the business field. Through interactive workshops, a discussion panel, and meaningful conversations, students had the opportunity to ask questions, learn from others’ experiences, and discover new ways to turn their interests into future career opportunities.

Crownpoint High School celebrated the dedication of the Tim Rice Memorial Stadium on October 2, 2026, honoring the lasting legacy of a beloved educator and coach. His impact continues to live on through the people he encouraged, mentored, and inspired. We are deeply grateful to the Crownpoint community for coming together to honor his legacy and support this special dedication. May the Tim Rice Memorial Stadium remain a place where future generations come together, make memories, and carry forward the spirit of someone who gave so much to his community.

Today is World Teachers' Day! Every day, our GMCS teachers walk into their classrooms carrying more than lesson plans. They bring patience for the difficult days, encouragement when a student needs it most, compassion for the challenges students face, and a belief in every child’s ability to grow.

October 4th through the 10th is Fire Prevention Week. GMCS encourages our students, families, and staff to take a few minutes to talk about fire safety at home and practice a family escape plan.
-Know your smoke alarm. Make sure everyone knows what the alarm sounds like and that your smoke alarms work.
-Make an escape plan. Identify exits, choose an outside meeting place, and practice getting out safely.
-Practice fire safety. Keep flammable items away from heat sources and never leave cooking unattended.
-Get out and stay out. If a fire occurs, get outside quickly, never go back inside, and call 911 once you are safely outside.
Talk. Plan. Practice.
A few minutes of preparation can help your family know what to do when every second counts. Let's keep our schools and communities safe!

Our HLC Seniors visited Fort Lewis College this past Wednesday! Students toured the campus and learned more about enrolling as future Skyhawks. Experiences like these give students the chance to step onto a college campus, explore possibilities beyond high school, and begin envisioning future paths. Seeing those opportunities firsthand can help students recognize that their educational journey does not have to end with graduation. Thank you to our Cultural Education Department for hosting this visit and encouraging our students to look ahead!
